We had an inspiring time on July 9th, 2022 during our Q&A with Dr. Lisa Ndejuru. We had the opportunity to bring up very important topics surrounding sexual abuse. Also, we had enlightening conversations about the Black community’s outlook toward sexual violence. We elaborated on sexual violence and the definition of sexual abuse. We had a serious conversation about consent and what it actually means to give someone consent. Overall it was a very intimate yet powerful conversation. We went to great lengths to keep the Temple Ka space safe, therefore we did not record any of the sessions. For those who attended, thank you very much. Thank you for contributing to this uncomfortable yet crucial conversation, we could not have made it without you.
Now, we would like to take a holistic approach as we take care of our physical well-being. Come to Zumba with us this Saturday, July 30th, 2022. The Zumba session will take place from 4 pm until 6 pm a day prior to the 60th anniversary of African Woman’s Day. The African Union is commemorating this day of women’s empowerment and equality and we thought it would be a fantastic time to care for our bodies through a Zumba session.
Join us as we celebrate our minds, body, and soul.
Aside from losing weight, Zumba has incredible benefits for your body as but not limited to relieving stress, building cardio, toning, improving your coordination, and enhancing your overall mood.
We look forward to seeing you this Saturday!
