The DINAH Mission is embarking on an inspiring and transformative journey with the introduction of monthly group therapy sessions meticulously designed for women aged 18 and above. Our core objective is to empower women by dismantling the taboos surrounding childhood sexual abuse trauma. We are dedicated to creating a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment where healing, resilience, and empowerment can flourish, with a special emphasis on the experiences of Black women.
Within these group therapy sessions, we are committed to providing a space where women can openly and confidentially share their experiences, emotions, and challenges. Our mission is to offer a platform for meaningful conversations, emotional support, and personal growth. By dismantling the stigmatization associated with childhood sexual abuse, our aim is to empower women to reclaim their voices and derive strength from their own narratives.
Our team of therapists, including Rosetta Sowkey, Trauma Counsellor and Consultant are both compassionate and well-versed in trauma-informed care. They will lead these sessions with the utmost sensitivity, ensuring that emotional well-being, healing, and personal development are at the forefront of our collective journey.
At the DINAH Mission, we firmly believe in the strength of unity and sisterhood. By coming together, we are breaking free from the bonds of silence and fostering a community of empowered women who stand together, support one another, and heal as a collective force. Join us on this transformative healing journey, and let’s empower each other to discover our voices, reclaim our strength, and thrive.
To ensure intimacy and a safe space, these group sessions are intentionally kept small. Please register as quickly as possible.
Once the spaces are full, we will send another email confirmation. At that point, you may need to register for the following month’s session. We ask for your understanding and commitment, as these sessions are of utmost importance for those in need. If you cannot attend after registration, please advise us as soon as possible to allow another survivor the opportunity to participate. Thank you for your understanding and support in creating a healing community.
